Hiking trail - Děčín – Hřensko

Length: 16 km
Dificulty: medium
Circle: NO, Marking: marked

This trip is one of the most beautiful in the Bohemian Switzerland and it is mostly thanks to beautiful views. The trip starts by the hospital in Děčín and continues along the red touristic track up along massive rocks with a view platform called Stoličné Hory. Then it continues still by the red track to a turning to Snežnická Vyhlídka and then to Labská Vyhlídka with very beautiful views of the river valley. After a few hundred meters the red track connects to a wider road leading close to the edge of the rocks above the valley to Lidvíkovice. In the beginning of the village the trip goes left to a stream and continues to a WWII cemetery. It continues to climb again to the edge of a sandstone terrace above the river and to the crossroads of the Růžová Vyhlídka (Rose Lookout). The red track continues without major differences in height to a wider path leading from Bynovec to Labská Stráň. Here we can see the beautiful view of Belvedere, which is the oldest in Czech Switzerland. We continue through the village Labská Stráň up to the valley of Suchá Kamenice and from there to the left along its flow down to the road along the bank of the Elbe. It follows this road to the right to Hřensko, where the trip ends.

The castle complex has undergone several reconstructions, the last one was Gothic. Other architectural attractions include the Early Baroque Church of St. Crosses from 1687-91, St. Wenceslas and Blažej from the years 1754-78, a late Gothic bridge over the river Ploučnice. There are several Renaissance houses and the Neo-Gothic town hall in the square. Museum with a gallery, exposition of Gothic sculpture and clocks.

On top of the sandstone platform is an obelisk erected in 1879 on the occasion of the silver wedding of the emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elizabeth. From the obelisk there is a nice view of the town Děčín and the opposite Sněžnicka Highlands with the highest peak Děčínský Sněžník. There are two other views on the Table Mountain itself - Sneznik lookout point and the Elbe watch.
Růžová Vyhlídka (The Pink Lookout )- Pink Lookout is a modified rock outlook into the Elbe Valley located in Pink Ridge. From the viewpoint, there are nice views of the Elbe Valley and the surrounding rocks and towers of the Rose Ridge.
Belvedere - view - View Belvedere is a modified rocky terrace about 130m above the river Elbe. Close to the terrace with a view is a former inn, today Belvedere guesthouse. At the turn of the 18th century, the owners of the nearby chateau in Bynovec built sala terrena with the preserved coat-of-arms of the founders - the lords of Clary-Aldringen and a viewing terrace was also set up. On the terrace popular musical productions were held at the time.
Hřensko - waterfront - The village of Hřensko is situated in a romantic rocky canyon. Originally there was a shipping and timber settlement and warehouses. Thanks to tourism, the village was developed in the 19th and 20th century. Historical sights include the Church of St. Jana Nepomucký from 1786. Hrensko is the final station of shipping in our territory and the starting point for the gorges of the Kamenice River and Pravčická Brána (a rock gate.
