Hojsova Stráž –waterfall Bílá strž

Length: 10,5 km Dificulty: medium Circle: YES, Marking: marked This trip starts from the train station in Hojsova Stráž and goes along the blue touristic track towards Hamry and then to the crossroad called Pod Statečkem where it connects to the yellow track leading to the waterfall Bílá Strž. The waterfall is one of the biggest in Šumava. From the waterfall the trip leads back the same way for about 700, after the Pod Statečkem crossroad and it keeps with the yellow track towards Zadní Hamry and back to the starting point.

The White Creek creates numerous cascades, waterfalls and breeches shaped on stones in the river stream. One of the waterfalls, called the White Drain, is 14 m tall and ranks among the largest in the Bohemian Forest. A viewing terrace is built over the waterfall, access to the waterfall itself is forbidden. On the slopes above the river there are remnants of the original mountain forest, which has a primeval character.
