Hiking trail - Teplice nad Metují - Dolní Adršpach

Length: 15,5 km
Dificulty: medium
Circle: NO, Marking: marked

The route begins in Teplice nad Metují near the church and leads us through the local road towards Horní Teplice. The red hiking trail then turns right into the fields and up the stream we get off to the shallow ridge in the settlement called Nový Dvůr. The field road continues further to the forest above the well and after along the northeast slope to Venéřovická Studánka (Vernéřovice spring). The red mark continues to Vernéřovice, but we go by the yellow track along the forest up the Buková hora. From Buková hora the path continues along the cycle path to the border crossing and further to the border village of Zdoňov and to its center by the church. Behind the village, the route runs along the yellow track on the right to the crossroads at the Křížový Vrch (Cross Hill) with a view. From the Cross Hill we descend by the green mark and by a comfortable way. From the crossroads once again it turns to the yellow track leading back to Dolní Adršpach.

More photos from around the route:

Teplice nad Metují - Among the historical sights of the town are - the Church of St. Vavřinec, the church of the Virgin Mary, memorial na Kamenci, the chateau in the former Horní Teplice - now the seat of the Municipal Authority and the chateau in the former Lower Teplice. In the castle garden there are statues of Summer and Autumn, probably from the middle of the 18th century originally from the Kuks Castle.
Verneřovice Studánka (Spring) - Historical Pilgrimage Site. There is a chapel dating back to 1878, a homestead and remnants of a crusade in its surroundings.
Buková hora - Nature Reserve. There is a memorial of reconciliation here.
Zdoňov - In the middle of the village is originally a Gothic church rebuilt in the Renaissance style. Near the church, opposite the former tavern, there is also a 18th-century pillory. Thanks to two border crossings (for pedestrians and cyclists) to neighboring Poland, tourism is restored in Zdonov.
Crossroad at Křížový vrch - The site is a protected nature reserve. Hill (667 m above sea level) near Adrspach, directly opposite the rock town. A steep cross path with biblical scenes on cast-iron boards set in rocks leads to the top of the hill. The Cross Hill provides a number of climbing terrains with paths of all difficulty. At the top is a sightseeing point with beautiful views of the Adrspach Rock Town, Buková hora, Vraní Mountains and with good visibility to the Krkonoše Mountains.
