Nové Město pod Smrkem – square – The town lies in the northeast part of the Frýdlant protuberance between the hills Jindřichovický hřeben and Smrk. It was established in 1584 and its beginning is tightly connected to mining of tin and other non-ferrous metals in the area. In recent history it was known mainly for its textile industry. The villages of Hajniště and Ludvíkov pod Smrkem were connected to the town in the second half of the 20th century. Among the most popular touristic sights are the mineral spring, the viewing tower on Smrk, the museum or the renovated town spa.
Obří sud-Libverda- A well known tourist restaurant above Lázně Libverda was built in 1931 inspired by the very popular Obří sud (Jizera Barrel) on Javorník in the neighbor Ještěd hills. The barrel on Javorník was burnt by accident on 20th September 1974 so the Jizera barrel in Lázně Libverda is the only one in the Czech Republic.
Raspenava - BUS – The town of Raspenava lies on both banks of Smědá river. The first written mention of it comes from 1343. A dominant interest of the area is mainly the surrounding nature beauty with many places to camp or go for walking or cycling trips. The symbol for rock climbing lovers is the rock Zvon (Bell) in the rock formation Srázy (Cliffs)
Frýdlant- chateau – The medieval castle rebuilt into a renaissance chateau. Between the years 1580-90 the Redern dynasty had the Lower Chateau built in the place of the former bailey. Later it was changed in a baroque and neoreneisance style. The chateau is open every day except Mondays.
Frýdlant - train station – Frýdlant lies in Frýdlantský výbežek (Frýdlant spur) on the edge of Jizera Mountains and it has been the natural centre of the area for a very long time. The town itself originated around the castle of the same name. The town centre is a monumental zone.
