The object occurs at the square in Svodova nad Úpou sice the year 1608. Originaly it serves as watching tower near the ford across the river Úpa on the road form Vlčinec´s rule trhough Svoboda nad Úpou and Rýchory to Silesia. It was rebuilt to town house with shop. In 1995 it was completely reconstruct to pension.
Equipment and services
Pension has 16 double rooms, 1 single room and 1 apartment. All rooms have shower, WC, TV with Sat and refrigerator with minibar. Five of double rooms have possibility of 1 or 2 extra beds. Apartment is equipped with two bedrooms (2 and 3 beds), living room (TV with sat., refrigerator), bathroom with bath, shower and separate WC.
Hotel offers the accommodation with your pet too. The own parking place belongs to the hotel. The stylish restaurant offers several kinds of beer and menu of local specialities. You can choose from czech and international kitchen. For your order they prepare you dinner from giantmountain´s specialities or tasting of some beers from East Bohemia (with bread with lard and special chees spread). Two separate lounges with the capacity of 15 or 25 places povide ideal conditions for family celebrations of firm negotiations. We offer internet connection, sauna, whirlpool, covered outdoor barbecue for 25-30 persons. The part of pension is bowling club, pool and TV. We help you with the planning of your hiking trips.
Recreation and services in surroundings
The nerest ski tow "Duncan" is only 2kms far from pension (2 ski tows with lenght 400m, piste for children and modest skiers). Ski centre - "Černá hora" in Jánské Lázně is 4kms far (kabin funicular and 8 ski tows, prepared pistes, the total lenght of pistes is 4890m, and the capacity of ski tows 4000 persons per hour). The free ski-bus go from the Svoboda nad Úpou to Jánské Lázně. The bus station is in front of pension. There is the possibility to rent a bike. There is the bike-repair shop in Svoboda nad Úpou.
