Valley of Roklany stream
From Modrava we continue on red tourist way on valley of Roklany stream. It is the main drain of Modrava peat-bogs. It springs on the slopes of hill Blatný vrch, third highest mountain at the czech side of Šumava mountains.

Typical mountain peat-bog covering an area of 5 ha and characterized by three lakes. Spruces and Swiss mountain pines grow round the lakes and dwarf birches, bilberries, bog-bilberries, common sundews, sedge and other plants in the peat-bog.

Peat-lake
The biggest lake, it is 7 ares large and 2 metres deep. Its colour is brown thanks the peat-acides. 15 types of mosses and several rare plants grow here.
