Cottage U kaplicky

This wonderfully situated cottage has beed named by centuries-old chapel on the opposite side of road. The cottage is located on the leeward plateau (ca. 600m above sea level) by the road leaded up from the valley by Bernartice to the village Beckov on the mountain ridge. There are two holiday cottages in the neighborhood, but they will not disturb you. In summer you can enjoy meadows with cows, forests, Vrani Mountains with their steep slopes, beautiful valleys. In winter the neighbourhood of the cottage is ideal for children, with plenty of snow and many options for sledding. One sleigh is freely available on the cottage. Although the road to the cottage is maintained, snow chains are necessary due to the relatively steep gradient! Parking by the cottage.

The cottage has been completely rebuilt by the Western standard a few years ago. In the entrance hall, separate toilet with large basin and warm/cold water. In a large, tastefully furnished living room there is sofa, Hi-Fi, TV/sat, cupboard with a dining area. The kitchen is newly and well equipped with electric stove with four hotplates, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker and toaster, washing machine. The bathroom has a shower and wash basin. Stairs to first floor goes from the living room. In the firtst floor there are three bedrooms. Bedroom 1: double bed + separate bed. Bedroom 2 and 3: in each bedroom there are two very comfortable beds. Blankets and pillows are included. Each room has an electric heater with thermostat. Living room is also heated by storage heater. If necessary, can be used cooking stove for wood for heating. The house has a terrace with garden furniture and parasol. In the summer there is also a swimming pool and sandpit. The garden has an area of approximately 2000 m2, it is fenced, suitable for children. Possibility of sitting by the fireplace with smoke in the evening.

SUMMER: In Bernartice there are two smaller, but good glocery shops for daily purchases. Large supermarkets are located in Zacler (8km) and Trutnov (16km). Good restaurants about 8km (Zacler). We reccommend to visit the town Trutnov with nice architecture (16km). There is also a modern swimming pool. The whole region is particularly suitable for nice walks and trips to the mountains and mountain biking. You can also simply relax in the garden.

TRIPS: Giant mountains, Adrspach Rock Town, region of Broumov, ZOO Dvur Kralove nad Labem, Hospital Kuks with statues of M.Braun. The official border crossing to Poland is located by Kralovec, about 5km away. Dam Bukowka in Poland (15km).

WINTER: The large ski resorts Brett and Arrakis in Prkenny Dul in Žacléř is situated about 8km far. Ski resort Arrakis offers 4 ski lifts and 4 slopes with a total length of 5.1km of all difficulties. Night skiing and artificial snow, ski and snowboard rental, ski school. Ski resort Bret is smaller ski area, ideal for beginners and children. There are snowtubing and Kidspark. The resort has one 400m long chair chair lift and 300m long ski lift. There are five groomed cross-country skiing trails with a total length of 50km. The most popular is the track that starts on the top of slopes and leads to Mala Upa. In Prkenny Dul and Zacler there are many cozy restaurants and wine bars. Other possibilities are in Mlade Buky, in Skipark ideal for beginners intermediate skiers (16km), Janske Lazne (23km) and Pec pod Snezkou (28km), the most popular ski resort in Giant Mountains.
