Location and access
The Pancíř mountain hut is located near the upper station of the Špičák - Pancíř chairlift, on the highest peak of the Šumava Mountains and also near the border of the Šumava National Park. Directly behind the cottage there is a 800m long ski lift. Access road to the cottage, parking by the cottage.
Equipment and services
The total capacity of the cottage is 32 persons. The cottage is suitable for family recreation, outdoor schools and ski courses. The cottage offers 11 rooms, 3 of them have their own bathroom. Restaurant with all-day operation and an outdoor terrace with beautiful views of the surroundings. Common room. Room equipment: cot, bathroom with shower, shared bathroom. equipment, WC, internet, bed linen, towels. For children: playground. Other services: parking, restaurant, storage room for bikes and ski equipment, terrace.

Winter activities: the nearest ski lift is 10m away from the cottage and is 800m long. The cross-country trail of the Pancíř - Můstek - Prenet ridge leads directly around the cottage. Other ski activities in the area - Špičák ski resort, Hofmannky within 1km, can be reached by cable car. Swimming pool, sauna - 2 km, or in nearby Bavorská Rudě - passport required. Summer activities: excellent starting point for cycling (routes for beginners and advanced cyclists), numerous hiking trails, the most visited places in the area - lakes Jezero Laka, Prášilské jezero, Černé jezero, Čertovo jezero, lookout towers Poledník and Pancíř, border crossing Železná Ruda and Gsenget (for pedestrians and cyclists). Mushrooming and picking berries. In the summer months, an ecological bus runs from Špičák all over Šumava and connects to the Bavarian National Park - a passport is required!
