The house is located in a quiet area. Easily accessible by car. The historic center of Svoboda nad Upou offers restaurants, bowling, ski, bike and scooter rental and grocery store. Ski bus to the ski resorts Duncan (1km) and skiresort Černá hora (2km) stops on the square (200m).

Accommodation in the guesthouse. Schmidt Apartments offer accommodation for 4 to 28 persons in 4 apartments. Each apartment has two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and toilet. Apartments for 8 persons have 2 toilets. • Apartment 1: 1st room 2 persons, 2nd room 4 persons, kitchen, toilet and bathroom. In winter ski resort Duncan in Svoboda nad Úpou 1km (part of Skiresort Černá hora) and ski resort Černá hora in Janské Lázně 2km. The ski slopes have night skiing, artificial snow. Cross-country skiing trails. Ski and snowboard rental 150m, ski school 150m. Other ski resorts up to 12km - Pec pod Sněžkou, Velká Úpa, Malá Úpa, Mladé Buky.
