The Horní Domky resort is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts in the country. Its dominant feature is Lysá Hora, a mountain to which the longest chairlift in the Czech Republic leads. Straight from the upper chair-lift station, you can embark on the Krkonoše cross-country skiing trail. The Horní Domky resort boasts of excellent terrain for all levels; beginner, intermediate and even the most demanding skiers of all ages will be satisfied here. Downhill tracks are up to 100 m wide at some places and their total length is 14.4 km. Parking in the resort is free of charge and the access roads to the central car parks are maintained daily. The Studenov ski resort is situated at altitudes from 620 to 933 meters above the sea level. It is accessible from the centre of Rokytnice nad Jizerou and it is popular, especially with families with children and snowboarders, thanks to its gentle and relatively wide slopes. There are two T-bar lifts, a slow lift, and a children’s rod lift. The blue and red pistes can be used by skiers who are at a beginner, intermediate and even advanced levels. At the terminus of LV 1000, it is possible to enter the Krkonoše cross-country skiing trail. The car park near the resort is paid. The nearest ski-bus stop is in Dolní náměstí.

Three luxuriously equipped suites, with the views of the peaks and the Krkonoše, will amaze you at first glance with their spaciousness. Covering the area of 120 m2, they offer you everything that you can think of. The suites have a huge living room, whose size is especially useful for families with children. There is a sofa-bed in the living room. The suites comprise two large bedrooms, where there is a double bed, a standard bed and a cot. All the rooms have large storage space in the form of wardrobes with enough space for a week-long or two-week stay. The suites provide sufficient comfort for 2–8 people. Each room is tastefully furnished with modern furniture. Each suite also includes a lockable basement room for storing skis, bicycles, etc. Each suite has two separate bedrooms with a double bed and other beds (1 to 3 beds and cots). The living room is equipped with an LCD TV set, a sofa, and everything you need to spend a quality holiday. A fully equipped kitchenette (a ceramic hob with an oven, fridge with a freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric kettle, and dishes) is a natural part of each suite. An essential part of each suite is a large dining table with optional high children’s chairs. The suites also offer a luxuriously equipped bathroom with a large corner bath or shower stall, underfloor heating, heating ladder, washing machine, and hairdryer.

Pets: Allowed after agreement

Lovers of skiing can await perfectly groomed cross-country trails and pistes, which are snowed artificially with snow cannons in case of lack of snow. Downhill skiers at ski resorts in Rokytnice nad Jizerou can use over three dozen ski lifts and two four-seat chair-lifts. The Lysá Hora chair-lift is 2,198 m long and it is the longest one in the Czech Republic. Cross-country skiers are recommended to try the trails in the resorts called U kapličky and Pod Dvoračkami with high-quality white track. Visitors who do not ski can try the snowtubing – very funny rafting on inflatable boats in an artificial snow track. Complete care is provided by ski services for downhill and cross-country skis, ski rentals, and ski school. Summer Rokytnice nad Jizerou offers you numerous marked hiking trails that will take you up to the tops of our beautiful mountains such as the Elbe spring or mountain chalet called Dvoračky. In recent years, there are more and more marked cycling trails in our mountains. You may experience a beautiful trip to Stráž hill or to Huťský waterfall. Your attention will be drawn by a late-Baroque church of St. Michael and an Art Nouveau town hall. In our neighbourhood, you can visit castles, ruins, churches, chapels, and museums. The destinations of your trips can also become a zoo or rocks in the nearby Český ráj (sandstone rock formations called Czech Paradise).
