Medard Pension is situated in the town of Boží Dar in the Ore Mountains at an altitude of over 1000 meters above sea level. The mining town of Jáchymov is 6km away, Karlovy Vary 25km, and Prague 135km. via a beautiful pedestrian walk of 1.5km you will reach the border crossing to Germany and 3km to the German spa and ski town Oberwiesenthal.
Equipment and services
Pension Medard has 30 rooms with a total capacity of 97 beds. Rooms are divided into two categories - Comfort and Economy. All rooms have new windows and heating. Comfort Rooms are newly renovated and are equipped with private bathroom (toilet, shower) and new furniture. The Economy rooms have their own washbasin with hot and cold water and amenities are newly renovated and located on each floor. In the Medard Pension there is a dining room and restaurant with a fireplace, both non-smoking. Breakfast is served buffet style and for lunch and dinner can be chosen a la carte or buffet. All meals are prepared from fresh ingredients without the use of pre-prepared products. There is also a well-stocked bar with service. At the Medard Pension you can connect to the Internet via WI-FI, while, for example, enjoying a delicious coffee from our large selection. Directly by the hotel, you can play beach volleyball or football. Children have a playground with swings and monkey bars.
Recreation and services in surroundings
Boží Dar is a center for both summer and winter tourism. A ski resort is located right in the town along with a snow-kiting center, and a large ski resort called Neklid is located just past the town. This resort is accessible directly via cable car from Boží Dar. Approximately 70 km of cross-country skiing trails and the Ore Mountain ski-expressway, which has many links to the surrounding regional and international trails, are found in the vicinity as well.
