Deštné in the Orlické Mountains is located in the magical valley of the Bělá River. The center of the village is dominated by the beautiful baroque church of St. Mary Magdalene from 1723-26. Deštné is the largest ski resort in the Eagle Mountains. Most of the slopes and lifts are concentrated on the northern slopes in the part called Zákoutí.
